Cafe Culture: A literary tea

GOOD CONVERSATION AND A COMMON THREAD

By all those who attended

It was a small group who turned out for September's event and we decided to take that unusual experience and produce an unusual write-up. One of the topics we discussed over precious finger food was tweeting and the art of communicating in small bites. Here is our afternoon, a literary collage in tweets, haiku, poetic verse and some more meaty mouthfuls to satisfy a hunger for words:

Kay:
Over a delightful literary tea, we chatted about books, freelancing, twitter, improv, match-making, Guilda's song, upcoming WiPS events... Kay

Suvi:
Twitter x2 on the wall... how to say it all? Many cherished writing tips by King over raspberry treats and carpaccio gone amiss. When again?

Wendy:
This was an enjoyable outing and a delicious afternoon tea. I love seeing all the younger members taking part.

Shannon:
On new wood benches
Ladies talk, eat, drink, laugh, blend
A common table

Guilda:
The venue was a cozy vegetarian restaurant in Soho, with a quiet atmosphere and yummy food. Books were spread between bites and finger food increasing our appetite and making the conversation creamy and rich! From Twitter tips to the reveal of matchmaker duties the gathering was really enjoyable, informative and interesting.

Dana:
A sparse turnout created a cozy group, perfect for whole table discussions on wide and varied topics. A pleasure getting to know WiPS ladies better.

Robin Louise:
ladies meet to talk about books
meeting and sharing
learning
next time 'readings'?
