Crowdfunding for Female Entrepreneurs

for Female

Thursday, 11 May 2017, 6.30 - 8.30 pm at the FCC

Please join us for an evening with Nicole Denholder, Founder of Next Chapter. She will explain why the recent phenomenon of crowdfunding is changing the way we launch projects and businesses. This session will cover what is crowdfunding, why people choose to crowdfund and its benefits.  She will discuss what you can crowdfund including a high-level overview of the process.

We will also hear from Laura Ho, founder of ByLauraHo, who successfully crowdfunded HK-themed Christmas cards in 2016 with Next Chapter. She will share her experiences and tips on what to do to be successful. This is a great opportunity to learn more about crowdfunding and whether it is right for your business or project.

Nicole Denholder is the Founder and CEO of Next Chapter, a Hong Kong-based crowdfunding website working with female entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses in Asia, to improve their access to funding for their business. An Australian, she has lived in Hong Kong for twelve years. Nicole previously worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers with their Global Capital Markets consulting team, working and travelling extensively across Europe and Asia.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Laura Ho started drawing before she could walk. She is an illustrator and a mural artist with her most recent creations being a large-scale team building mural at LinkedIn's offices.
