After more than a decade writing for and/or editing a wide range of publications in Hong Kong, Beth switched gears to pursue postgraduate training in librarianship. Her first position was running the primary school library for Kellett School in Kowloon Bay. This year she joined Law Ting Pong Secondary School, an English-medium local school in Tai Po, as Library Manager.

Janet Middlemiss is an author and public relations expert. An experienced copywriter, through her communications agency JEM Worldwide Janet  specializes in delivering business-related content from corporate brochures and press releases, to newsletters and speeches. More recently, she authored Born to be the Boss, a book commissioned by social enterprise the JEM Group that shares how six entrepreneurs in Hong Kong created highly successful businesses from doing what they love.

She is a third culture kid, born in Canada to Swiss and Australian parents, and now lives in Hong Kong where her two children are also third culture kids. Originally from the UK, Dr Karen Moyse has been living in Hong Kong for a year. Her background is in research psychology and children's nursing. Karen's PhD focused on children of 7 to12 years and their use of mobile phones, finding that the development of freedom could be supported with its use for children. Karen has written articles and a book.
