Originally from Singapore, Philomena has been in Hong Kong since 1988. She has enjoyed three careers so far: working in communications for the Singaporean armed forces; as part of Cathay's cabin crew (and contributor to the in-flight magazine) for 15 years; and then becoming a kindergarten teacher in Hong Kong's local and international schools. In the 1980s, Philomena won Young Poets' awards in Singapore.

Dania Shawwa Abuali is a book editor living in Hong Kong since 1997. She founded Haven Books in 2005, publishing 40+ titles of fiction and non-fiction. Dania previously worked for publishing houses in New York, having studied at the University of Toronto and then at Northwestern. Dania edited Imprint for three years and is a former president of WiPS.

Elsie Sze grew up in Hong Kong and now resides in San Mateo, California. Her novels, Hui Gui: a Chinese story (2005) and The Heart of the Buddha (2009) received nominations for Foreword Magazine's Book Awards in fiction categories. Elsie won the inaugural Saphira Prize for her manuscript "Ghost Cave: a novel of Sarawak". Published by WiPS in 2014, it is distributed worldwide.
